Itinerary
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, meet your local guide with the trip group and begin your Mongolian adventure. Visit Gandan Monastery, Chinggis Khaan Museum, Sukhbaatar Square, to learn about nomadic history and culture. In the evening, enjoy a traditional art concert with your group.
Begin your journey across vast grasslands toward the UNESCO-listed Orkhon Valley, home to generations of nomadic herders. Meet your host family and settle into a real nomadic home stay. Help with evening chores, learn to milk livestock, and share dinner in a cozy ger.
Spend another full day living with your host nomadic family. Take part in morning milking, help collect livestock, and way of life that has remained unchanged for centuries. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed ride through the surrounding hills or simply share stories with the family over a cup of airag (fermented mare’s milk).
Say goodbye to your host family and drive to Karakhorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist site, and learn how spirituality blends with nomadic tradition. Evening free to walk around the town or join your guide for stories from Mongolia’s past.
Head east to the semi-Gobi region, where the steppe meets sand dunes. Visit a local camel-herder family, enjoy a short camel ride, and walk among dunes surrounded by green steppe. End the day watching the sunset from your family-run ger camp — peaceful and far from tourist crowds.
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar through changing landscapes. Arrive by afternoon for last-minute shopping at local markets or museums. Transfer to your hotel or the airport.
