Upon arrival in Mongolia, our driver will take you from airport and transfer you to a centrally located hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Then we will start a city tour to explore winter Ulaanbaatar: visit to Sukhbaatar’s square – the central square in Ulaanbaatar, in front of the Mongolian Parliament House. Across from the central square, we will visit Chinngis Khaan Museum – the biggest and new museum with many of exhibitions belong to Mongolian history culture and tradition. Our next stop will be Gandan Monastery. The monastery is the largest and most significant Buddhist monastery in Ulaanbaatar city with over 200 years history. If time permits, we will visit the Zaisan Hill memorial, the hill provides a panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in a hotel.

Today we take domestic flight to Murun, a provincial town in northern region of Mongolia. After you arrive in Murun, our local driver will pick you up from Murun airport and we drive out to a camp located on the shore of Lake Khuvsgul.

After breakfast at the ger camp, we experience the annual Ice festival on the frozen Lake Khuvsgul. During the 2 days of Ice festival, we will attend Ice Festival opening ceremony, ice skating marathon, sacrificing ceremony for the Lake Khuvsgul & Khoridol Saridag Mountain, wrestling competition on the ice, horse sled racing.

Today we will get to the Murun local airport to catch a flight back to Ulaanbaatar. We will arrive in the capital city in the afternoon, and drive out to visit Terelj National Park.

Today we will have breakfast at the camp, then drive the site where Eagle festival held. Today we will experience the famous eagle festival: Opening ceremony with parade of horsemen holding hunter eagles, eagle hunters’ competitions.

Today we will have breakfast with the nomadic family and then drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Relaxing hours at the hotel. Also, you have time to visit the world’s number one cashmere store and Mongolian souvenir shops and experience the city of nomads in time of Lunar New Year by visiting Mongolian families in the afternoon. In the evening, our farewell dinner will take place in a restaurant.

This is the end of our winter festivals 2024 trip in Mongolia. Today we will take you to Ulaanbaatar International Airport in time for your flight back to your home country.
