Winter in Mongolia is an exceptionally beautiful time of the year to experience the “real nomadic” culture & scenic landscape far from the crowds. Mongolian winter extends from the middle of November until the end of February and is the low season among tourists/travellers which makes it possible to create heroic memories in a cheaper way but gives more chances to get connected with real nomadic people in Mongolia, and also more possibilities to encounter more wilderness.

Our Mongolian winter trips are designed to give travellers the ultimate insight into real nomadic Mongolian life whilst supporting nomadic families of our long-term partnership in rural areas by economically in the harsh season of the year. In each of our Mongolia winter trips, we stay alongside nomadic families and there are almost no touristic stays like luxury hotels or tourist camps out of Ulaanbaatar.

As a kind reminder, since the winter in Mongolia is freezing cold [but not that cold as like in Yakutia, Siberia or Alaska] and is a low season, there will be challenges but only the challenges faced on a daily basis of local Mongolians. But don’t let the cold stand in your way! Our experienced team would not make you feel cold, we provide our guests with a nomadic traditional winter coat [a.k.a deel] with sheepskin insulate.
