Mongolia is an independent landlocked country in the heart of Asia between Russia and China. Mongolia’s area of 1,564,116 sq. km makes it the eighteenth-largest country in the world, but with a population of three million, the average density is fewer than five persons per square mile (or 2 per sq. km). The capital, Ulaanbaatar, 1,350 m above sea level, has a population of 1.3 million.

Some of the most recommended, and must-see places are belonged to Central Mongolia along with the ancient capital Kharkhorum, which once was the heart of the Mongol empire, the world’s largest contiguous empire in history; Orkhon river valley including many pre-historic settlement ruins, remainings from nomadic ancestors, burial mounds and even ancient monasteries; famous as ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’ of UNESCO.
