We will meet you at the airport and begin our trip to explore winter Ulaanbaatar: visit to Sukhbaatar’s square – the central square in Ulaanbaatar, in front of the Mongolian Parliament House. Across from the central square, we will visit Chinngis Khaan Museum – the biggest and new museum with many of exhibitions belong to Mongolian history culture and tradition. Our next stop will be Gandan Monastery. The monastery is the largest and most significant Buddhist monastery in Ulaanbaatar city with over 200 years history. Overnight in a hotel.

Today we take domestic flight to Murun, a provincial town in northern region of Mongolia. After you arrive in Murun, our local driver will pick you up from Murun airport and we drive out to a camp located on the shore of frozen Lake Khuvsgul.

After breakfast at the ger camp, we experience the annual Ice festival on the frozen Lake Khuvsgul. During the 2 days of Ice festival, we experience Ice Festival opening ceremony, ice skating marathon, sacrificing ceremony for the Lake Khuvsgul & Khoridol Saridag Mountain, wrestling competition on the ice, horse sled racing. In the afternoon of March 4th, we will get to Murun local airport to catch a flight back to Ulaanbaatar.

Today we set off of Ulaanbaatar, to the site where Winter Eagle Festival will be held. Today we will experience the famous eagle festival: Opening ceremony with parade of horsemen holding hunter eagles, eagle hunters’ competitions.

Today we will have breakfast with the nomadic family and then drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Relaxing hours at the hotel. Also, you have time to visit the world’s number one cashmere store and Mongolian souvenir shops and experience the city of nomads in time of Lunar New Year by visiting Mongolian families in the afternoon. In the evening, our farewell dinner will take place in a restaurant.
